How to measure
The 3 essentials Bust, waist and hips are all you need to find your size.
-
1. BustUnder the arms, around the fullest part of your bust, tape level all the way across your back. Wear the bra you plan to wear with the gown. -
2. WaistThe narrowest point of your waist, where you crease when you bend to the side. Snug, with one finger of room. -
3. HipsThe fullest part of your hips and seat, about 8 in (20 cm) below your waist, feet together.
For custom gowns Made to your body: a few more measurements for the perfect length.
-
4. Hollow to floorBarefoot. From the hollow at the base of your neck, between the collarbones, straight down to the floor. We add the heel height you choose. -
5. HeightShoes off. Stand straight against a wall, heels together, and measure from the floor to the top of your head. -
6. Heel heightMeasure the heel of the shoes you will wear, at the back, from the floor to where your heel sits.
Measuring tips
- Use a soft tape measure, snug but not tight: you should fit one finger under it.
- Measure in your underwear, wearing the bra you plan to wear with the gown.
- Stand naturally with your feet together. Breathe normally; don't hold your breath or pull in.
- Keep the tape level all the way around; a mirror helps you check.
- Ask a friend to help: measuring yourself tends to tilt the tape.
- Measure twice. If the two results differ, use the larger one.
- Enter body measurements, not the measurements of a dress you own.

Order by your measurements, not your everyday size
Formal and evening sizes usually run smaller than everyday clothing, often by one or two sizes. Always choose by your bust, waist and hip measurements. The chart lists body measurements, not garment measurements.
Between two sizes
Choose the larger size: a gown can be taken in, but it can't be let out. Or choose Custom, and your gown is made to your exact measurements at no extra cost.
Petite, tall and plus
Petite (under 5'4" / 163 cm): floor-length styles usually need hemming. Tall (over 5'9" / 175 cm): standard lengths can sit above the floor. Above US 24: every style is available. For any of these, choose Custom, enter your measurements and your barefoot hollow-to-floor, and we make it for you at no extra cost.
Strapless, open back and expecting
Measure in the bra you plan to wear, or without one if you'll use adhesive cups, and add your preference in Notes when you order Custom. If you're expecting, measure as close to ordering as you can and add your due date and event date in Notes.
