Terms of service

Welcome to Areen Row. These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of shop.areenrow.com and areenrow.com and to every order you place with us. By using the site or placing an order you agree to these Terms, our Return and Refund Policy, our Shipping Policy and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. You must be at least 18 years old, or have a parent's or guardian's permission, to place an order.

1. Orders. Your order is an offer to buy. It is accepted when we send the order confirmation email. We may decline or cancel an order before production, for example if an item or price was listed in error, we suspect fraud, or we cannot deliver to your address; in that case we refund you in full.

2. Made to order. Most Areen Row gowns are handcrafted to order in your chosen size or to the measurements you provide, and ship within 2–3 weeks (custom designs can take longer). Ready to Ship gowns are finished pieces in the size stated on the product page and ship the next business day.

3. Product photos and previews. Our product photos show each gown on a model and some images are digitally created or retouched to show the design, color and details as accurately as we can. The Design Your Gown studio and its "See my gown" previews are digital illustrations of your choices, generated automatically. Your gown is handmade from the design and the details written on your order, not from the image, so beadwork placement, drape, shade and proportions may vary slightly from any photo or preview. These natural variations are not defects.

4. Colors and handwork. Colors may look different on different screens and in different light. Hand-applied beads, sequins and embroidery make every piece slightly unique.

5. Sizing and measurements. Sizes follow the size guide on each product page. For custom orders you are responsible for the measurements you provide, whether taken by you or by a Fit Partner tailor. Please follow our "How to measure" guide. Fit Partner tailors are independent professionals, not Areen Row employees; the tailor's measurements are final and your gown is made exactly to them.

6. Prices, currencies and taxes. Prices are shown in the currency of the country you shop from and are charged in that currency. Shipping, taxes and any duties collected are shown at checkout before you pay. We may correct an obvious pricing or typing error before your gown goes into production; if we do, we offer you the choice to continue at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

7. Payment and security. Payments are processed securely by Shopify and its payment partners; we never see or store your full card details. Orders may be reviewed for fraud. We may cancel any order we reasonably believe is fraudulent.

8. Returns, exchanges and cancellations. All sales are final except as set out in our Return and Refund Policy, which you confirm at checkout. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under the consumer law of the country where you live.

9. Chargebacks. If there is a problem with your order, please contact hello@areenrow.com first so we can make it right. We keep a record of your order details, your agreement to our policies at checkout, photos of your finished gown and shipping and delivery records, and we provide them to your bank if a payment is disputed. Filing a chargeback for a gown that was delivered as ordered may result in collection of the amount owed.

10. Designs you create. A gown you design in our Design Your Gown studio is made one of one, for you. At checkout you choose: keep it exclusive, and we will never make your design for anyone else; or share it, and if we would like to offer your design to others we will ask you first, send you a $100–$200 gift card and credit you as its designer. Silhouettes, fabrics and details offered in the studio remain available to everyone; exclusivity covers your complete design. Exclusivity is our promise that Areen Row will never make or sell your design for anyone else; we cannot control, and are not responsible for, similar or copied designs made independently by other people or brands.

11. Free design previews. Design previews are a free courtesy with fair-use limits (currently 4 per customer, and 10 more after an order). We may pause previews for accounts that appear automated, use disposable or multiple email addresses, or otherwise misuse the service. Previews may not be used to copy, resell or train other systems.

12. Reviews, photos and messages you send us. If you send us reviews, photos or messages, you confirm you have the right to share them and allow us to display them on our site and social media. We never publish your personal details without permission, and we remove any photo on request.

13. Our content and brand. All photos, videos, designs, names, logos, text and code on this site belong to Areen Row or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not copy, reproduce, scrape or use them for any commercial purpose without our written permission. Gown names are Areen Row style names and do not refer to any person or other brand.

14. Promotions and gift cards. Discount codes and promotions have the conditions stated with them, cannot be combined unless stated, have no cash value and may end at any time. Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash except where the law requires.

15. Warranty disclaimer. Apart from the promises in our Return and Refund Policy and any rights you have by law, the site and our products are provided "as is" and we make no other promises about them, including about fitness for a particular purpose.

16. Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Areen Row is not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as missed events, travel, alteration or photography costs), and our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

17. Events beyond our control. We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as carrier or customs delays, natural disasters, strikes, epidemics or government action. If such an event delays your order by more than 21 days you may cancel for a full refund.

18. Disputes. Please contact us first; most concerns are solved within a few days. If we cannot resolve a dispute informally within 30 days, it will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Tarrant County, Texas, and you and Areen Row each bring claims only individually and not as part of any class or representative action, to the extent the law allows. If you live in the EU, the UK or Switzerland, you may also bring a claim in the courts of your country and you keep the protection of its mandatory consumer laws.

19. Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your country of residence gives you rights that cannot be waived.

20. Changes and severability. We may update these Terms; the version posted when you place your order applies to that order. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
